FAQ's

A: We operate a Blazer Express Printer.  It is produced in Arizona and built by people who at least look happy in their company photos.  They are also nice on the phone, and have cool headsets, so I suspect they are not abused at work, as many of us have been.  The printer was once aptly described as an "robotic airbrush" and uses a highly modified Epson inkjet printer head to shoot controlled copious amounts of ink.  The print is then "set" with a heat press, and remains durable for dozens of washings, particularly if it is treated right.
A: This was news to me, but a bunch of my friends knew the answer.  They should be turned inside out when washed to protect the print and dried on medium or gentle.  I've since stopped drying some of my favorite shirts and realized that the dryer is the enemy of all my clothes.  That little ball of lint we pull from the back of the dryer is in fact evidence of the looming disintigration of our clothing.  I am not advocating the destruction of dryers, but I have taken to simply hanging some of my favorite shirts and jeans.

Q: What kind of textiles can you print on?
A: At the moment we are limited to garments or fabrics that are at least 50% cotton with 100% cotton the preferred and time tested material.  We cannot print on many synthetics due to their low melting temperature and are beginning to test alternative materials like bamboo and hemp.  We hope to introduce these products in time.
